Currently (for the next 3 days) we are living in Viña del Mar. It is about 20 mins. away from Quilpué. Viña is a vacation city by the beach, so it was much easier to find a furnished apartment to rent for a month while we looked for more permanent housing.
We are in a small 2 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor of a 23 story building. It has been in a great location - just 1/2 block away from the metro and within walking distance of many shops, grocery stores, and restaurants.
It has been a blessing to start our journey in Chile here in Viña and to get to know this city. Quilpué is much different.

Like I said earlier - this is a tall 23 story apartment building. On the 23rd floor there is an indoor swimming pool, gym, and a place to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful view. We have used the pool often to help the kiddos get some of their energy out. There is nowhere super close for the kids to play. Even though there is a bit of grass in front of the apartment complex - the children aren't allowed to play there! :( So the pool is where we take them when all they want to do is tackle each other and run around a 600 sq. foot apartment.

While we have enjoyed our time here, we are ready to move into our own house in Quilpué! Stay tuned for a post about our new house. (We did get the house posted in an earlier blog post.)
