A little update

Just last month, Jeff and I were sitting down and talking about our timeline to getting on the field.  We were actually pretty discouraged.  We knew Jeff would soon have to sign his contract at work, which meant we had to make a decision.  Would we have enough financial support to go to the field by this coming summer?  Would we need to take another year to raise more money.  Since Jeff is a teacher, we have to do things one year at a time.  Our hearts were heavy with the thought of having to wait another year.  We ended our conversation with our heads bowed, praying for the Lord to give us an answer.

THE VERY NEXT DAY . . .

We got an email saying a church had decided to support us monthly.  We had never heard of this church.  It was over 800  miles away.  The Lord had provided us with our answer.  The church's monthly commitment had pushed us to our 80% mark.  We knew the Lord was saying - it is time!

Jeff resigned from his teaching job (effective in June) just a couple of weeks later.  Once the school year is over in, we will be on our way.  First we will do a 5 week training in NC.  Then in August we will be headed to language school. 

The Lord's timing is perfect!  He meets us where we are and I am so very grateful!
