Our final days in Columbia: Closure

One of the things we learned during our missions training was to have closure before you leave.  It was important for us to make an effort to have time with family and friends before moving to another country.  We were blessed to have some very special time with family before we left.  Here are a few (ok, more than just a few) pictures of  this sweet time.

At Nana and Pappy's House

We found a baby lizard!!!  Nathan was just a little bit excited.

Nathan was excited, but Juliana was the only one to touch it.

Juliana is a bit worried that Nathan might just drive off on Pappy's motorcycle.

Dance Party with Cousin Campbell

A trip to the mountains with Lisa's family

Watching Cars 2 with Pappy.  This was the start of Nathan's love of the movie Cars.

Reading books with Nana

We went to Lake Lure for a day of swimming.

Nathan loves Aunt Amy - or maybe just her iphone!

Aunt Amy came back to Columbia with us.

Last Trip to the zoo with some sweet friends - The Peaces

Our Charleston Trip

As you scroll down, you will notice there are no children in these pictures!  I know you are shocked.  Jeff and I went to Charleston without the kids for a couple of days to celebrate our anniversary and our birthdays.   We were able to see some very dear friends, had some AMAZING food, and just enjoyed being in Charleston.  The best part was when we checked into the King's Charles Inn, they said they were giving us a free upgrade to a King room because they couldn't put the Kings in a queen room!

One last trip to Baba-Da's lake house

Juliana is sitting in Baba's wheelchair.  Baba broke her foot just a couple of weeks before we left.

Our good friend Joe and his girls were able to come see us.  We missed his sweet wife Janna and their other little girl.

Mailing a letter in the play house.

Sitting in the play house.

One of Nathan's favorite things to do - swing INSIDE the house.  He discovered his feet could touch the ceiling!

Juliana finally started to like the swing.  Usually she screamed when we tried to put her in it.  But this time she loved it!

Some Last pictures with the family

Cute Cousins!  We sure do miss that sweet girl.
