Our final days in Columbia: living in transition

Even though we are now in Costa Rica and have been here almost a month (I can't believe that!!!), I want to back track a bit and tell a few stories about our last few days in Columbia.

We were busy our last several weeks in the states, packing up and saying good-bye.  Both of those tasks were a bit harder than expected!  We are so thankful for family and friends who helped us, pack, watch the children, and just being there for us as moral support.  But most importantly, thankful for all the people praying for us during those last few weeks.

Here are a few pictures from our house in transition.  We started selling our furniture, so it meant eating on a card table with folding chairs and camping chairs.  (It was spaghetti night, so the children are eating in their underwear!)

One reason, it was hard to pack, was Juliana was constantly UNPACKING what had been packed.  That toy she has there, was packed away in one of the many boxes you see.  She decided she wanted to play with it.

We sold Juliana's crib and matching changing table.  Then took Nathan's toddler bed and put it back as a crib and put in Juliana's room.  Nathan was sleeping on a blow up mattress for the last few weeks.  He loved it and thought he was camping!  We were thankful, because we weren't quite sure how he would respond to his bed being gone.

Living in choas was quite stressful, but as we look back, we were so blessed to be able to stay in our house until the morning we left for Costa Rica.  We are still praying for the Lord to sell our house or to bring a good renter.  We are trusting Him with the perfect plan and His perfect timing.
