Our language school is very good about giving students the opportunity to do things together with other students while exploring different parts of Costa Rica. One Saturday about 70 of us went on a trip about 1.5 hours away. It was a waterfall park in the mountains that also had a mini zoo. It was one of the prettiest places we have been! The pictures below don't do it justice!
We first went to see some of the animals. We were able to walk through a bird house, butterfly house, and tree frog house. Some of the other animals we saw were monkeys, snakes, wild cats, and fish.

| Nathan wasn't so sure about Jeff holding the toucan. |

| Can I touch the parrot? |
 |
| The closest we will ever get to a jaguar. Yes, it was in a glassed cage. |
 |
| Typical ox cart. We did get to take a ride. |
 |
| Can you see the tree frog? |
After seeing the animals, we ate a WONDERFUL lunch. Jeff wasn't sure what he enjoyed the most - the beautiful things we saw or the food! After lunch we took a hike to see 3 different waterfalls.

| Looking at the first waterfall. Juliana is fading fast. |

| She finally fell asleep while riding on Jeff's back. |
