This has nothing to do with living in CR, because it happens in the States too. But getting a good picture to use for Christmas is not an easy task. Here were our options:
Kids are both smiling - great. But Nathan is wearing a big brother shirt with Juliana's hair bands as bracelets. Juliana has a lovely hair do.
Both kids are dressed nicely in their Christmas church clothes. Juliana is doing great. Nathan - who knows what he is doing.
Of course, we have about 50 pictures that look something like this:
Then finally, we get one! Even if Juliana is wearing a strawberry shirt - not very Christmasy, but at least its red and green, right?
