We left the outreach center property and took a micro-bus to Valparaiso. Valpo is a port city about 30 minutes from Quilpué. It reminded us of a lot of Charleston SC and San Fransisco, California. It is a very old city with a ton of charm. The interesting thing is when we left Quilpué the sun was shining without a cloud in the sky. But by the time we arrived in Valpo, it was very overcast, foggy, and cold. Check out the pictures in the previous post of the clear blue sky and contrast them with the photos below. They say the climate between the two cities is very different - hard to believe since it is just a 30 min. drive away. Quilpué is called the city of the sun because the sun shines there so much more than the surrounding cities.

| See the overcast/foggy skies. It was also super cold!! |
 |
| Cool building - see the cable car trolley on the left side? Helps to keep the old city feel. |

| Seems like a random pic, but we don't have yellow lemons like this here in Costa Rica. I was a bit excited to see them here in Chile! |

| Overlooking the city onto the ocean - what you don't believe me - the ocean is right behind those buildings. I promise. |

| Beautiful church |

| Going down the mountain - this part reminded me of San Fransisco, California. |
After we spent some time in Valpo, we took the metro to Viña del Mar. As you can see from the map above, Viña is the city closest to Quilpué. We loved Viña and could possibly live there and drive into Quilpué for the ministry. It is only about 15 min. away from the outreach center. Viña del Mar had a complexly different "feel" than either Valpo or Quilpué. It is amazing how three cities so close together could be so different. Viña is an international vacation city. If we don't live here, we will probably shop here, go to church here, and could send the children to school here. We have a lot of praying for where the Lord wants us to live, attend church, and send the children to school. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of good pictures from Viña.

| There are TONS of tall apartment buildings in this city. |
 |
| Beautiful tree lined streets |
 |
| Another pretty street - the picture doesn't do it justice |
