Shopping in Chile

One of the things on our to-do list was to was go "shopping".  I wanted to see what kind of things I could get there and how much it cost.  I was pleasantly surprised that their appliances, household items and clothing is pretty much the same price you would pay in the states.  The food prices weren't so bad either.  I was sad to find out that peanut butter is hard to find and it is expensive (I've been spoiled in CR, we can get PB easily and not so expensive), they only sell boxed milk - no refrigerated milk AT ALL, and they don't sell Fresca (and the Fresca here is NOTHING like it is in the states).  But now I know to pack a lot of PB and will get used to the box milk.

I am sure people thought I was quite strange to be taking pictures of things  in the grocery store!

$1.00 for a small bag of M&Ms - worth it! :)

Happy to find some honey peanuts!!!

Will be making lots of homemade icing since this is $5.00 a can!

Cereal is always so expensive - $5.00 a box

$34.00 for a set of silverware - not too bad.

Yay - pyrex type pans!!!

A sweater for $12.00 - notice the size - 36 months!
